Turning Point is an active day program that focuses on helping clients with mental illness develop insight and understanding into their condition and its treatment and learn strategies to recover and reintegrate into the community. Special emphasis is placed on the importance of medication for the treatment of mental illness. Clients also learn about developing healthy lifestyles and healthy relationships that can improve their level of functioning in all aspects of their lives.

The program respects each client as a unique individual with their own skills, needs, abilities and preferences. Clients are assisted in determining the goals they would like to achieve and are encouraged to improve existing skills as well as learn new ones that will help them succeed. Often clients need encouragement to believe in their own abilities to fulfill the dreams they set for themselves. The Turning Point program is committed to helping clients do just that - dream and make things happen!
